Welcome to the Leading from the Classroom Blog!

This blog is intended as a collaborative effort to show ways in which instructional technology and open-source resources can be used in today's classrooms.

About Us...

We are presenting here various aspects of OER as it relates to our fields. We have quite diverse backgrounds and specialites, and we each find OER useful in a variety of ways.

Liz Falconer comes from a background of ESL teaching and is currently Curriculum and Technology Specialist at Renton Technical College, where her position ranges from being a high-tech purveyor to blowing up balloons for events.

John Falconer has been a medical translator for nearly 30 years. He draws on that experience when working with students in the Phlebotomy Program at RTC, where he works as an I-BEST instructor.

Phil Venditti teaches communication studies at Clover Park Technical College and loves using and sharing technological tools. He is president of the Washington State Faculty Association of Community and Technical Colleges and creator of two Open Course Library courses.
